DJ CONTEST

We love to give upcoming DJ’s a chance to play on a big stage. 

So here we go! Do you want to play at TRANCEHEAVEN on March 15th 2025?

Do you think that you have what it takes?

This what you need to do:

1. Record a DJ set of 25 to 30 minutes and upload it to Soundcloud

Be aware off the following:

• You will play the openingsset, so take into account that you will not play tracks of 138/142 bpm. We want to see that in your mix.
• We are into uplifting trance!

Send the soundcloud-link to us.

2. Make a video or yourself mixing your set and upload it to Youtube

Use your phone, that works perfectly. It doesn’t have to be a perfect video with perfect sound.

We just want to see your personal energy behind the decks.

3. Tell us why you think you should be picked for TRANCEHEAVEN!

We are very curious as to why we should pick you!

4. Tell us how you market yourself as a DJ

5. And when you are picked, how will you market yourself and TRANCEHEAVEN?

A little explanation why number 4 and 5 are so important. These days of social media and online platforms it is very important for any DJ to market him/herself. Without good marketing you will never get on the level you want to become. 

Should you have to sell 50 or 100 tickets to perform at an event? NO…

That’s where we come in. The promotor’s job is to sell tickets, not the DJ.

But a promotor will only book you when he/she thinks that booking this (upcoming) DJ will create buzz around the event. It is as simple as that!

You have to think of it like this:

There are at least 100 other people who can pick good trance tracks. And there are at least 90 of them who can mix correctly.

So what do you do differently? What is your unique skill? What makes you stand out?

One of the things where you can stand out is; good marketing. 

And marketing is also the thing most DJ’s do not do.

Here are the prizes:

Nr. 1 

• Playing the opening set of 1 hour on TRANCEHEAVEN
• Massive marketing attention before and after the event
• 1 hour one on one tutoring marketing skills and feedback on your set or tracks
• A video with highlights of you playing your set during TRANCEHEAVEN
• 2 professional photos for your press kit, shot during TRANCEHEAVEN

Nr 2. 

• 1 hour one on one tutoring marketing skills and feedback on your set or tracks
• 2 free tickets to TRANCEHEAVEN
• 2 professional photos for your press kit, shot at TRANCEHEAVEN

Nr 3. 

• 1 hour one on one tutoring marketing skills and feedback on your set or tracks
• 2 free tickets to TRANCEHEAVEN

When you participate you are giving permission that we can use your name, DJ name, the video and soundrecording of your set on our socials.

How will the proces go:

1. Send all asked to djcontest@tranceheaven.nl before October 20th.
2. We will make a selection of 10 entries and post those entries on our socials
3. We will create a vote polling, which people can vote on.
4. The winner of this vote will win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

NB: Only send the link of your soundcloud and youtube, don’t send the whole file.
